Where are you located?Elite Self Storage is located in Hartford, SD right off I-90 Exit 387 behind the Coffee Cup Fuel Stop westward. It get to the exact location, take the 1st left North of the Coffee Cup on Diamond Trail for 1 block, then South 1/2 Block to Ruud Trail and then right (West) and we will be down 1 block starting on your leftside (Southside). We have 2 entry ways into the facility with Lower #s starting on the East Entry and higher Units #s on the West Entry.
What size units do you have available?We offer 4 different Units for rent.
- 7.5x13.5 economy units that are perfect for Seasonal (patio furniture, snowblowers, lawnmowers, etc) type items as well as 1 Bedroom apartments.
- 12x20' units for household items and boxes. It is perfect for 2-3 bedroom house storage. Cars also fit in these units typically.
- 12x35' units with 10'x10' garage doors ideal for larger items, cars, boats, trailers and more.
- 12x55' units with 10'x10' garage doors on one end and 9'x7' garage doors on the drive-by end. Ideal for those who simply desire more space, storage and convenience.
I rented a unit. What else do I need?Upon Rental completion, you are good to go. There are no gate or access codes. You need 1 Padlock for both 12x20' and 12x35' units. Our 12x55' units have garage doors on both ends and thus require 2 Padlocks
Do I need to submit payment each month or is there auto-pay?Inside your online account there is an auto-pay option that defaults for regular payments in the 1st of the month, each month. The option to pay on your own or pre-pay also exists inside your online account manager. Please select the ACH method to save both of us money each month.
Do you accept cash or checks?We have worked to make this as easy as possible for all of us. Our preferred method of payment is in your online account via ACH. You can also pay by Credit Card (a CC fee may apply) in your account. Those who must pay by cash or check will require 6-months pre-payment.
I forgot my unit #, cannot get into my account or need help?All you need is your USERNAME and you can reset passwords or find out all the details of your account. Simply click the link in the upper right to login. You can always call or text us at 605-929-6620.
What happens if I cannot pay for my storage unit?Please, if you know you cannot or think you may not be able to make payment monthly, do not rent from us. We like to keep things simple, including payment on the 1st of the month via ACH or Credit Card. If you do not pay for your unit, we will start the eviction process following SD law and requirements. And your items will be disposed of accordingly. So please, if you are worried you may not be able to make regular monthly payments, do not rent at our facility.
What is the contract term?Please reference the rental agreement when you signed up as it will be specific to your unit, but as a general guideline, all units are month-to-month with a 40-day notice to Vacate. Also the final day of the month is when all monthly terms end. So if you wish to vacate your unit, please let us know by the 20th of the Month PRIOR to the month you wish to vacate. If you vacate without proper notice, you will forfeit your deposit.
What if I leave my unit dirty, unswept, or damaged?Please sweep your unit floors and clean edge to edge when you vacate. We charge actual repair value for damage. And have a flat $50 sweep and clean fee on all units if they are not fully cleaned and swept upon vacating. If you get your unit clean and no damage, you should expect a full refund of your deposit.
